Global Seminar | Edinburgh

Summer 2025

UC San Diego’s Global Seminars are five-week academic programs held in locations outside of San Diego. I will be teaching one in Edinburgh, Scotland in June 30-August 1, 2025.

Revelle in Edinburgh includes two courses and a set of excursions. Here are the draft syllabi:

• Humanities 4GS | Enlightenment, Romanticism, & Revolutions (forthcoming)

• LTEN 128GS | Contemporary British Poetry (forthcoming)

We take several group excursions during the program:

• Literary walking tour of Edinburgh

• Tour Holyrood Palace and hike Arthur’s Seat

• Overnight excursion in the Scottish Highlands

• Two-night excursion to Grasmere, England to visit Dove Cottage, walk the hills, and enjoy the lakes of the Lake District
